New to Cape Town? A quick overview.
We are a group of locals who want to see Cape Town reflected in the best possible way.
We know everyone wants a different experience of our city, and that's why we want to match visitors with a guide who can give them their own unique experience.
All our guides are registered and have a public driving permit, as well as insurance.
We want you to leave Cape Town feeling rewarded, wanting to send all your family and friends, and wanting to return.
We recommend that all trips are booked on a vehicle and guide basis, which means you hire the guide you want and they provide a vehicle and their guiding expertise.
You still follow your chosen itinerary for the day, but you are the visitors and pay all the entrance fees.
This gives you flexibility if you want to change plans, weather disrupts your itinerary, or you decide you want to slow things down.
Vehicle and guide rates range between R6,500 – R9,000 depending on the distance you are going to travel, the size of your group, and the vehicle you are in.
This includes the vehicle, the guide, and 500ml bottled water per person per day.
You can of course add to this or alter it for an additional cost.
If you would like snacks included, you can advise your guide of a budget per day and what you would like included in a snack box.
Morning: Table Mountain (take the cableway, or hike up Platteklip Gorge if you're fit).
Afternoon: Walk through the Company's Garden, visit the National Gallery, Bo-Kaap, and the City Hall.
Evening: Sunset at Sea Point Promenade, dinner on the Waterfront or Bree Street for restaurants and bars.
Morning: Drive along the Atlantic seaboard, stopping at Maiden's Cove, then onto Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive for views.
Afternoon: Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope (walk to the lighthouse).
Evening: Return via Simon's Town and Kalk Bay; see Boulders Beach penguins at dusk when it's quieter.
Morning: Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the Tree Canopy Walkway (Centenary Tree Canopy Walk).
Afternoon: Explore trendy neighbourhoods — Woodstock (street art and markets), Salt River, Kalk Bay & Kloof Street.
Evening: Sunset at Camps Bay with dinner on the beachfront.
Morning: Shark-cage diving in Gansbaai (full-day) or an alternative: kayaking with seals in Hout Bay and a boat trip to see whales (seasonal).
Afternoon: Continue marine activity — dive in the kelp beds, or learn how to harvest and cook with seaweed.
Evening: Casual dinner — try a local fish restaurant.
